Statement of Board Chair Bill Hamilton 

August 7, 2023 

Dear IofC USA Partners, Colleagues, and Those Interested in our Mission and Work, 

On behalf of the IofC USA Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce that Breon N. Wells has been elected to the USA Board of Directors. 

After more than two years of reflection, IofC USA is building an organizational infrastructure – Board, Staff, and Volunteers alike – rooted in our values and responsive to today's times with an eye on the challenges and opportunities of a new future.  Breon Wells comes to us well-equipped with a portfolio of experiences in the protection and enhancement of individual rights and the advancement of the human potential.  Breon’s groundbreaking work as founder of The Daniel Initiative demonstrates values of faith and principles of democracy, consistent with the values of IofC.  These were evident in Breon’s engagement during the recent Caux Forum on Trust and Integrity in Democracy (TID) in Caux, Switzerland. 

As we move forward in today’s world where there is much need for our trustbuilding work, we welcome Breon Wells to the IofC USA Board of Directors.

Statement of Executive Director Allan-Charles Chipman 

August 7, 2023 

As an organization dedicated to building a values-based future, we are excited to announce the appointment of Breon Wells as the newest board member for IofC USA. Breon Wells embodies the spirit and lifelong dedication to both the spiritual and societal changemaking that will lead us to a new future. 

 For two decades, I have personally seen the integrity of Breon and have been blessed to witness the impact he has made on our nation and our world through preparing and challenging leaders to implement ethics of Love, Unselfishness, Honesty, and Accountability through his organization the Daniel Initiative. Breon’s presence in our organization will help expand the work and deepen the connections we have across our nation and world as he is a trusted leader and voice in implementing justice in a plethora of sectors in which we are seeking to implement change and equip changemakers. 

From voting rights to human rights, Breon in his work is well positioned to help us transplant new values into our nation and greater society during this time of crisis and beyond. I could not be happier to have a champion of values and justice such as Breon joining our board.
