Studio Two Three Begins "Make Art Work" Residency Program This Summer

The first cycle of Studio Two Three’s Make Art Work Artist Residency begins on August 2nd. This free, self-guided residency is open to two artists per cycle and provides skills & support to build and deepen their practice.

Artists in Richmond and the Tri-Cities area who work in printmaking and print media can apply for the first cycle by the deadline of June 28, 2021. More cycles will follow in September 2021, January and April 2022.

Focused support will include:

  • 12 months of free 24/7 studio membership (3 months in residence with a private studio space, 9 months as a communal member)

  • 24/7 access to a private studio (shared with one other resident artist), as well as our communal workspace

  • 36 instructional hours with an artist mentor who specializes in printmaking, darkroom photography or risography

  • Access to a MacBook with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and a laser printer, during the 3 month period

  • Free access to all Studio Two Three classes in both artistic processes & elements of business (financial management, marketing and promotion, copyright, web design)

  • A materials stipend

  • Additional resources to assist with transportation or childcare costs, as needed
