The Deep: A Live Mix Set with DJ Harrison on 6/30

We plunge into THE DEEP, a Live Mix Set with Devonne “DJ Harrison” Harris on Tuesday, June 30th @ 4pm PST / 7pm EST / 11pm GMT closing off this month's La Ceiba Festival.

A multi-instrumentalist, keyboardist & founder of international jazz powerhouse Butcher Brown, DJ Harrison is also an accomplished beat producer for his own projects as well as many other vocalists across the world. He has several highly-acclaimed albums that have been released on Stones Throw Records & DJ Shadow’s Liquid Amber among other respected labels.

DJ Harrison is part of an emerging movement of sample-based producers that use the Roland SP 404 series samplers exclusively to craft sonic soundscapes that capture the sounds of the new millennium. He is unique in that he most often samples or loops himself playing any number of different instruments, layering them in a way that captures the groove of the new sonic revolution. DJ Harrison brings a diverse catalog to La Ceiba Festival by both mixing & remixing instrumental & vocal elements featured in his works.

One of his latest tracks, the marvelous “Things I Should Have Said” with Son of the James’ Rob Milton & Georgia Anne Muldrow was featured on Season 4, Episode 9 of Issa Rae’s Insecure.
