Watch these Messages of Racial Healing from our IofC USA Community

We invite you to also watch and share these special messages from community members of Initiatives of Change USA detailing the importance of racial healing at this critical juncture.

We must continue our work of racial healing until our communities become brave spaces where we can live as our most authentic selves.
— Rev. Dr. Lacette Cross, Pastor of Restoration Fellowship RVA
Racial healing is about talking about what has happened to you and your community, about the injustice you don’t want to see happen ever again in the future. This is a day where you talk with other people and try to figure out a solution for everybody so you can improve the quality of life and make space for everybody to feel safe to live and have their own freedom.
— Shafiur Sarker, IofC USA Summer Intern
It’s going to be a lifelong journey of tearing down these structures that promote institutionalized violence. It will be a lifelong struggle to promote true liberation. The real truth is, this is a marathon, not a sprint…Progress has been made but there’s a lot more to be done.
— Rev. Dr. Emanuel C. Harris, President of the Baptist Ministers Conference, Richmond & Vicinity
