National TRHT Emergency Town Hall: Responding to Anti-Asian Violence

In the aftermath of the Atlanta massacre of predominantly Asian women at three different spas, our Initiatives of Change USA team stood united with our TRHT community partners* in solidarity on March 23rd in an emergency town hall. This was an effort to call out and respond to the growing waves of Anti-Asian racism and violence happening across the U.S.

IofC USA team members took part in this town hall, bearing witness and support to our Dallas TRHT brothers and sisters who led the event as they shared testimonial experiences about living with violence and racism, detailed deeper histories and statistics about xenophobia and anti-Asian hate within the U.S., and encouraging us all to contribute to small and large acts of everyday solidarity to increase justice and security for Asian American communities.

Watch the full townhall video above and visit the Dallas TRHT - Stop Asian Hate page for additional resources.

*TRHT refers to Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation, a a grant coalition created by the Kellogg Foundation (2017-2020) where our organization participated as one of 14 U.S.-wide organizations.
