What You'll See at Intersecting History's 1st Museum Crawl (Dec. 14th)
We are beyond excited for Intersecting History following the greatly anticipated unveil yesterday (Dec. 10th) of Rumors of War, Kehinde Wiley’s first public sculpture now permanently institutionalized at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA). Created as a project of Initiatives of Change USA, Intersecting History joins together Richmond’s key cultural museums in an effort to tell a fuller and inclusive story about our shared history and future.
On Saturday, December 14th, the museums will open their doors to the public from 10am-4pm to witness and explore the exhibitions. Already, hundreds of people have registered for the Museum Crawl! Get your free, reserved ticket here while supplies last.
Free bus transportation will be provided between the participating museums with convenient and free parking available at the American Civil War Museum and the VMFA. Day Passes for the GRTC buses can also be purchased for $3.50. Here is a list of GRTC bus routes to the museums.
